One of Klimt’s paintings that can be classified as Erotic-Symbolist, this highly sexualized painting exemplifies how the artist could create a beautiful, almost surreal setting for a portrait. Klimt is famous for painting women, and this shows why. The women curve through the space, almost as a water serpent would swim through the sea.
