Andy Warhol, Gun, 1968

Part of a series on guns, after being almost fatally shot by Valerie Solanas in 1968. This depicts Solanas’ revolver. What’s interesting about this piece is that through the use of color blocking and color theory, the gun appears to be lethal and dangerous, even though no one is holding it.
